EDUCATION.

For the Flow provides education about menstrual health and spreads awareness about period poverty to reduce the stigma surrounding menstruation. Everyone has a right to reproductive care and support, including menstrual products.

We specifically work with middle and high schools to holistically educate youth about period poverty, We also work with principals, administrators, and school nurses to develop an understanding of each school’s culture and community with respect to their approach to menstrual health. We teach middle and high school students about the various components of menstrual health. By talking to students about menstrual issues they may face or have experienced, we hope to remove the fear and shame associated with menstruation, promote a healthy understanding, and allow students to see these issues with clarity and dignity. Additionally, we work with student volunteers to collaborate and spread awareness.
