Thank you so much to @kentstate @youngeinstitute @youthbizforum for granting me the opportunity to pitch For the Flow at the Art Without Limits Pitch Competition today. It was such an amazing opportunity to spread our mission and meet other young entrepreneurs.

Today For the Flow supplied Laura’s Home Women’s Crisis Center with the City Mission with tampons and pads to last for the next 3 months. We are so happy to be supporting an organization that aids local women and children in need! 🩵

PERIOD POVERTY AWARENESS WEEK! One significant aspect of period poverty is the stigmatization of periods. Everyone, especially kids, should feel comfortable talking and asking about periods - they are normal! Check out this kid’s book written by Jessica Biel that talks about the normality of periods in a kid friendly and inclusive way. #periodpovertyawareness #destigmatize #periodsarenormal

Meet the founder! Hi, I am Natalia Navarro, and I am a current junior at Laurel School. During my time studying abroad through the Alzar School in Patagonia, Chile, my passions for social justice and women's rights flourished. At Alzar, I was challenged to come up with an idea that combined a passion of mine and an issue in my community to combat. This is how For the Flow began: My passions for social justice and period poverty. Since then, I have expanded my network to grow my vision into a reality with the help, support, and mentorship of many. Additionally, Laurel provides an environment that fosters my passion providing me with mentorship and opportunities to grow and learn as a young entrepreneur.

Today, For the Flow supplied a shipment of tampons and pads to Another Chance of Ohio. We are happy to be working with their founder Barbara Anderson to tackle period poverty locally!

- By providing period products to those who need them in safe and convenient locations, we ensure an effective and positive impact on the NEO community.
- We strive to educate, inform and spread awareness about period poverty and various reproductive health topics.
- The stigma attached to menstruation and reproductive health strengthens the societal barriers women and those who menstruate have to face.
- For the Flow aims to break these barriers, promoting menstrual equity, menstruator empowerment and restoring dignity.
- For the Flow’s advocacy focuses on raising awareness and taking action to address the challenges that individuals face who lack access to menstrual products, education, and proper healthcare.
- We work to destigmatize periods, promote gender equality, and ensure that everyone has the resources they need to manage their periods with dignity and convenience.

What is Period Poverty?

Often described as a neglected public health crisis, Period Poverty is defined as the lack of access to safe menstrual products and inaccessibility to basic sanitation services or facilities, as well as menstrual education.
